Dovetail appointed to lead Media Relations for DUKES London landmark relaunch 2026

London-based luxury travel and lifestyle PR and marcomms agency Dovetail is delighted to announce its appointment as the UK partner for DUKES London, a distinguished five-star hotel and member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, nestled in the heart of St James’s Mayfair.
The hotel is currently embarking on an ambitious multi-million-pound renovation project, marking an exciting new chapter in its storied history. With a spectacular redesign set to be unveiled in Summer 2026, this transformation promises to position DUKES London firmly among the capital's most exceptional luxury destinations.
The redesign is being spearheaded by Russell Sage Studio, one of Britain’s most acclaimed interior designers. In parallel, the hotel is collaborating with a historian to uncover and celebrate its rich legacy and the remarkable history of the surrounding St James’s area. These insights will be woven into the hotel’s refreshed identity, ensuring that DUKES’ heritage remains at the heart of the guest experience.

Located in one of London’s most prestigious neighbourhoods, DUKES London has long been a sanctuary for royalty, writers, musicians and politicians, since 1908, when it first opened as a hotel. Surrounded by the history of St James’s, dating back to
King Henry VIII’s 16th-century palace, the project reinforces its place at the heart of London’s cultural and heritage landscape.
As of January 2025, DUKES London has temporarily closed its doors to allow for the extensive renovations. The legendary DUKES Bar remains fully open throughout the project, continuing to welcome guests with its world-famous martinis.
The refurbishment is set to conclude in Summer 2026, with further details on the redesign to be shared in the months ahead.
