International Women’s Day is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the achievements of women globally –  this year’s theme is #GiveToGain – a campaign that emphasises the power of support and reciprocity.

From Front Office Managers to Bar Supervisors, Shift Leader Receptionists to Director of Operations, these women continue to inspire and lead teams to excellence.  

At Hotel Schweizerhof Bern & Spa, Nicole Kiener, Assistant F&B Manager, is celebrated for her positive and caring approach, ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience whilst fostering a supportive team environment. Sylvie Ntambew Balsiger, Floor Supervisor, brings warmth and energy to her role, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests and colleagues alike. 

Over the water at Royal Savoy Hotel & Spa Lausanne, Shift Leader Receptionist Laura Boursault has recently been awarded LQA Star Employee in recognition of her positive mindset and dynamic presence within the team. Saskia Lips, Director of Operations, ensures each department delivers exceptional service and operational excellence, while long-standing team member Joice Mendes, Executive Housekeeper, plays a vital role in keeping the hotel’s signature standards and 5* reputation.  

Perched 500m above Lake Lucerne, Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne is synonymous with excellence. Bettina Porkert, Executive Assistant Manager in charge of Food & Beverage leads with confidence and expertise in a field traditionally dominated by men. Bettina successfully manages and inspires a team of 140 staff members whilst continually raising the standards to new heights with confidence and strong leadership.  

In the heart of Assisi, The Borgo Keeper at Borgo Antichi Orti Assisi Giulia Lucarini - is the heart and soul of the Borgo, a presence who guides daily life with incredible passion. General Manager Stefania Vicovaro ensures every guest experience feels personal and memorable, while Stefania Carli, Breakfast Chef, infuses her love of Tai Chi and Qi Gong into her cooking, creating homemade pastries and cakes that bring a sense of calm and comfort. Alongside her, Greta Sulo helps transform breakfast at the Borgo into a special start to the day. 

Closer to home in London The Welbeck Hotel Yolenny Beltre de Leon, Front Office Manager, is recognised for her inspiring leadership, while Cheryle Higguit, Front Office Assistant, has earned the affectionate title of the hotel’s “Angel of The Welbeck” for her thoughtful care for guests. Habiba Rayimova, HR Manager, ensures the hotel remains a workplace where every team member feels valued and supported. Jada Owusu, Sales Manager, is known for her infectious warmth and ability to build meaningful relationships with clients. Across the hotel, Damia Rahhali and Aynalem Asfaw, F&B Assistants, set the tone for each guest’s day with welcoming service. Laura Latge, Bar Supervisor, brings creativity to the bar with her expertly crafted cocktails, while Judit Nagy, Chef de Partie, makes every dish into a delicious experience. Behind the scenes, Miheala Ledu, Housekeeping Manager, ensures that every space reflects the highest standards of comfort and care.
