Dovetail was appointed to manage the launch campaign for one of London’s most anticipated new restaurant openings for 2019: Bob Bob Cité. Sibling to Soho’s Bob Bob Ricard, this new City-based restaurant was designed to be a no-expense spared brasserie for the 21st century, showcasing the finest in design and classics in French home-cooking.
Ahead of opening in May 2019, Dovetail lined up coverage focused on the design and build of the restaurant, working in partnership with interior designer BradyWilliams. Sneak-peaks were secured with media, while interviews were arranged for owner Leonid Shutov in titles including GQ, London Evening Standard, City AM, Luxury London and Luxury Briefing.
At this time, Dovetail secured TV appearances for executive head chef Eric Chavot on Saturday Kitchen and BBC London News. The restaurant was featured twice in one week on prime-time BBC London News.
Upon launch, Dovetail executed an intensive launch campaign of media visits and reviews, ensuring to build immediate coverage and reputation for Bob Bob Cité with both consumer and MICE titles for the private dining rooms. A strategy for food critics was managed, resulting in positive reviews. Private dinners with leading concierge companies, events bookers and PAs were organised to showcase the restaurant’s impressive Private Dining Rooms. Dovetail also worked with a highly targeted list of social media influencers to create an ongoing buzz across platforms.
Recognising the value of an international audience thanks to in-bound tourism, Dovetail managed strategic PR campaigns in both Japan and South Korea.
In Bob Bob Cite’s opening year, Dovetail achieved 400 pieces of coverage for the restaurant. More than 130 media from the UK and key feeder markets internationally were hosted for lunch and dinners, generating valuable exposure on-line, in print and on social media platforms impacting the number of followers and the SEO ranking within a short time of opening.
