Dovetail jetted
off to sunny Barcelona last week to visit OneOcean Port Vell, Europe’s most
centrally located marina within a city. From the moment we arrived into the
city we were treated with the six star service OneOcean Port Vell is famous
for.
We started by exploring the city’s hidden gems, walking through the streets of
Barcenoleta and stopping off at a quaint tapas bar – Golfo de Bizkaia – which
we were later told was one of the best in the city.
The next part had
to be the highlight of the trip. We made our way back to the marina to be
greeted by a red Ferrari, courtesy of Drive Me Barcelona. We strapped ourselves
in and set off on a one hour tour of the city driving our very own Ferraris!
After the adrenaline rush of the supercars, we unwound with a relaxing massage
at OneOcean Wellness.
Our evening
kick-started with delicious cocktails at Bluewave, which was hired out
exclusively for us, before heading over to OneOcean Club for dinner. Designed
to reflect the rounded geometry of the hull of a yacht, the atmosphere was
fantastic, with a table overlooking the stunning marina. We enjoyed a seasonal
menu with a modern twist on traditional Catalan cuisine, starting with an array
of tapas treats followed by fresh fish caught that very day.
After a tour of
the marina the following morning, we couldn’t leave the city without sampling
Spain’s most famous dish – Paella. Perched on the Barcenoleta beach we stepped
into Pez Vela for a long lazy lunch, Spanish style!
24
hours in this beautiful city is definitely not enough!
