The Dovetail Agency launched the annual Eat Jersey Food Festival at The Atlantic Hotel, Jersey, now in its third year. Designed as a celebration of local produce and fine dining on the island, guest chefs from across Britain were invited to participate by Dovetail for four days of gourmet events. These have included Michelin starred and acclaimed chefs Andrew Fairlie, André Garrett, Michael Wignall, Steve Smith, Tom Brown, Robert Thompson, Pascal Proyart and Adam Smith.
Behind the scenes tours were arranged with local suppliers, including Faulkner Fisheries and Classic Herd. The Jersey based charitable conservation trust, Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust is the Festival’s philanthropic partner.
A comprehensive PR strategy was developed to include the launch and pre-event media liaison, while a select group of media are invited to attend each year to review the Festival. This has seen resulting coverage in publications including The Telegraph, The Dish from The Sunday Times, Good Things, Food & Travel, FOUR Magazine and The Caterer. In 2016, the PR campaign for Eat Jersey resulted in 90 items of coverage.
Partnerships with organisations including Great British Chefs, Visit Jersey and Small Luxury Hotels of the World generate publicity for both The Atlantic and Jersey itself, inspiring visitors to visit this gastronomic hot-spot.
