Dovetail's Top Picks: The UK's Summer 2019 Music & Food Festivals to Have You Singing & Eating Your Way Through the Summer Evenings

As summer approaches, we have compiled a list of our recommended festivals to enjoy through music and food.


Hampton Court Palace Festival

Taking place inthe Tudor Courtyard at various dates from 6th to 22ndJune, this festival entertains guests with world-class acts, an exquisite setting, and gorgeous East Front Gardens to enjoy for a Fortnum & Mason Picnic prior to the music. You can also hire a waterside gazebo, which includes a dining table with staff members available to provide refreshments from theEast Front bars. Henley Festival

This festival is an exclusive boutique black tie festival taking place in Henley-On-Thames from Wednesday 10th to Sunday 14th July. The music ranges from pop to world, and classical to jazz. The event offers several riverside and terrace restaurants, numerous bars offering drinks of all kids, from Moët Champagne to Pimm’s, as well as grazing stations spread throughout the entire venue. Be sure to stay for the fireworks!


Taste of London

A food-lover’s ideal day, this food festival takes place right in Regents Park in London and offers many different sessions from Wednesday 19th to Sunday 23rd June. Once you enter the festival, you have the chance to join masterclasses to learn from world class chefs, and enjoy delicious tastings, all while discovering London’s best restaurants and listening to live music. There are all sorts of different passes to purchase, from simple entry pass tickets to a diners club VIP feasting ticket, which gives you access to the VIP lounge, a glass of champagne, three dishes with one taste exclusive, access to VIP masterclasses, exclusive entertainment and offerings, and more.

Pub in the Park

Combining delicious food, live music, and Michelin-starred chefs all into one park, Pub in the Park is a festival taking place in different places on different dates. It starts in Marlow in mid-May, then follows with Leeds, Knutsford, Bath, Warwick, Tunbridge Wells, Chiswick, and then finally wraps up in Albans mid-September. Apart from the food alone, there’s plenty more to do, like stop in one of the bars for a drink, watch chef demonstrations, attend a masterclass, enjoy tastings, and shop from artisan and lifestyle brands.

London Brunch Fest

From Saturday 31st August to Sunday 1st September at The Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London will be having its second annual Brunch Fest. Filled with coffee, cocktails, workshops, talks, music, and an endless amount of brunch food, this will definitely be a well-spent trip.
